Two
steelbows, that were found in an abandonned house and hung up in a
room, are constantly absorbing the noises and sounds of the building,
its inhabitants and its
machines. Their silent vibrations are recorded with piezo-microphones
and the recordings are played back again into
the steel through transition speakers.
A programm controls a constant record-playback process, in which the
individual sound of each bow becomes hearable. Two wires are tighten on
the bows. The visitors can make them
resonating and creating new soundlayers. The sound, that is
produced through the room and the
presence of the visitors is stored into a circle.
After the exhibition
was finished, the bows were brought
back again to their original place.
