The sound lecture "charcoal circles" explores energetic processes and the relation between decomposition, sound and movement.

A piece of charcoal is moved slowly over the ground, leaving black traces on the surface. With electrical contacts attached to it, it becomes a microphone: the sound of drawing is conducted toward a loudspeaker, the line on paper transferred into time.
