EQUILATERALS

A grid based on equilateral triangles is mapped onto urban wasteland with wooden sticks and white fabric ribbons. A booklet is given to each participant with an individual sequence of prompts, one on each page. Together with sound signals at fixed time intervals, these elements constitute a structure through which participants move individually. When they meet at the junction points, they may say aloud their association with the actual page and witness the different words reacting with each other. The participants' movements create unpredictable patterns, whether for solitude or exchange, for speaking or remaining silent.
